Power BI / Data Analytics: (Part Time)

This person is maintaining and extending an existing Power BI environment, not building from scratch.

Must-haves:
• Power BI Desktop and Service — semantic models, DAX measures, report building, app-based distribution with audience segmentation
• DAX — heavy use, most of the business logic lives in measures, not in the pipeline. Needs to be comfortable writing and debugging complex measures, not just basic filters
• SQL — reading and writing against Snowflake, understanding table relationships, joins on non-clean ID mappings (Enterprise ID vs. Prospect ID vs. MX Athena ID)
• Python — ETL scripts that run on cron in Azure, pulling from APIs (Lead Squared, Ring Central) and Athena/Snowflake, writing back to Snowflake gold tables. Not heavy ML or data science — it’s scripting, data manipulation, incremental loads, merge/upsert logic
• Snowflake — comfortable navigating schemas (stage, raw, gold), understanding incremental load patterns, troubleshooting when upstream data breaks models (duplicate lead IDs causing relationship errors is a recurring issue)

Nice-to-haves:
• Healthcare data familiarity — Athena EMR specifically, understanding of Enterprise ID / patient ID structures, appointment and procedure data
• Experience with Lead Squared or similar CRM data — the most common breakage comes from Lead Squared pushing duplicate or malformed records
• Power BI workspace management — dev vs. production workspaces, subscription/alerting setup, audience-based app distribution
• Familiarity with Azure VMs for scheduled jobs (cron-based Python scripts, git pull deployments)

What this person is NOT doing:
• Not building new pipelines from scratch — the architecture is stable, ~15 load steps, ~10 transformations
• Not doing Fabric, Synapse, or anything beyond basic Azure VM compute
• Not doing advanced data engineering — no Spark, no streaming, no complex orchestration
• Not touching the DHP application at all

Scale of work:
• ~30 reports, 5-10 used daily
• 2 primary semantic models, 5 total
• Steady flow of business requests — mostly adjusting DAX measures, adding slicers, adding providers, occasionally adding new report pages
• Troubleshooting upstream data issues (mainly Lead Squared duplicates)
• Data sources: Athena (Snowflake daily dump), Lead Squared (API, 30-min intervals), Ring Central (API), DHP (Postgres)
