Lead UX Designer:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are your responsibilities and expected performance outcomes required of the position.

  • Create wireframe to communicate quick concepts
  • Deliver web and responsive web visual designs
  • Deliver mobile or mobile-optimized designs
  • Build clickable prototypes
  • Demo professionally and clearly their work
  • Create design diagrams such as site maps, user flows, workflow diagrams, and information architecture diagrams
  • Ask the correct questions during meetings and drive the problem resolution process
  • Follow established brand and web style guides
  • Create fully animated design prototypes 
  • Create logos and other marketing graphics
  • Code basic web pages, as well as have a deep understanding of web layouts
  • Provide input and feedback to team members on pixel quality and UI development
  • Present design approaches and solutions to business and technology stakeholders including directors and engineers
  • Create brand identities such as logos, color palettes, iconography, and typography
  • Drive and conduct research and feedback activities, namely discovery research, concept testing, usability testing, user acceptance testing
  • Drive ideation or concept meetings to get the answers needed for continued progress
  • Define visual guidelines such as color theory, typography, and iconography for a product
  • Use agile methodologies to manage team, plan the work, and reach milestones
  • Scope and provide estimates to set project deadlines and deliverables
  • Defend and communicate the UX Design process
  • Plan the design execution process and tasks for the entire project
  • Resolve conflicts in design opinions and directions across team members


QUALIFICATIONS

The following are the skills and experience needed to achieve the responsibilities for this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree or related field training
  • 6-10+ years of experience in an UX job role
  • Have a strong portfolio of UX Design work
  • Skill to think as a designer and focus on problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Has experience in a leadership role in an IT Industry setting

 

Location: San Jose/ New York – preferably (Remote is also OK)
