Lead Data Engineer (BI):

Job Title: Lead Data Engineer  (BI)
Location:  Jersey City, NJ

Must Have Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering with a strong background in Big Data, cloud implementations, data processing frameworks, and BI solutions.

Technical Skills: 
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
Extensive experience with AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, Aurora, RDS) and Snowflake.
Solid experience in data ingestion and processing frameworks.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) for creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and tune performance in production environments.
Familiarity with Agile Methodology.

Soft Skills:  
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, especially when conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:
Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 and cloud data migration strategies.
Insurance industry experience, especially in claims and loss processes.
Certifications in AWS or Snowflake.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
