KDB Developer:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead project teams throughout the project life cycle for Front-end development.
• Develop secure and scalable backend systems using server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Python with Django, Java with Spring).
• Leverage KDB for data ingestion and querying.
• Develop and maintain APIs for data exchange with front-end applications.
• Design and implement databases to store and manage application data.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Understand and implement DevOps practices for application deployment and maintenance.
• Experience in designing and developing applications that can handle high volume and ensure continuous operation.
• Micro services infra experience is a bonus but not required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Encourages best practice sharing and collaboration to optimize team processes and constantly keeps the business and client / internal customer at the forefront
• Understands & anticipates Client business needs concerns & issues, and monitors progress to achieve results

 Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in KDB development. – MUST HAVE
• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Experience with a server-side language and framework (e.g., Python with Django, Java with Spring, Node.js with Express).
• Proven experience with KDB+ and q programming, including data ingestion, manipulation, and querying.
• Strong experience in database architecture, schema design and performance tuning.
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of database design, data modelling and management principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with market risk concepts (a plus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location: NYC – 100% work from office ( 4 days from office)
Salary: up to $150k/annum
