AI Engineer

Role Overview: The AI Engineer is the primary builder on the engagement, translating architectural decisions into working, governed agents. Engineers implement connectors, guardrails, data integrations, and monitoring, and co-develop with Client’s Data Scientist / AI Lead to transfer knowledge continuously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and configure agents in Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry, including knowledge sources, topics, actions, and orchestration logic.
  • Implement managed and custom connectors to Salesforce, SAP, Seismic, Zoom, SharePoint, and Databricks.
  • Develop and tune retrieval pipelines (vector search, hybrid search, metadata filters) against Seismic and SharePoint content.
  • Implement guardrails, prompt shields, content safety filters, and human-in-the-loop validation patterns.
  • Configure monitoring, alerting, and audit telemetry in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Copilot Control System.
  • Build the Zoom transcript ingestion pipeline and structured-data extraction (issue, resolution, parts, next actions) into Salesforce.
  • Contribute to test automation, evaluation datasets, and quality regression suites.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and runbooks for operational handoff.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years building LLM-powered or agent-based applications in production.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least two of: Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, LangChain / Semantic Kernel.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C#; familiarity with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Practical experience with enterprise connector patterns (Power Platform custom connectors, Azure API Management, Logic Apps).
  • Experience integrating with at least one of: Salesforce, SAP, Databricks, or Microsoft Graph at scale.
  • Solid grasp of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and grounding quality measurement.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs (Azure AI Evaluator SDK, PromptFlow, Ragas).
  • Exposure to computer vision workflows (Azure AI Vision, custom vision models) for parts / image classification use cases.
  • DevOps skills: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep / Terraform).
  • Contributions to internal AI accelerators, templates, or open-source projects.
